Cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) is a structured, and evidence-based approach to achieving healthy sleep & minimizing impacts of insomnia.

Disrupt thoughts, feelings, and behaviors which can increase intensity, frequency or duration of pain episodes. Participants improve self-awareness and learn strategies to help modulate pain and live skillfully with chronic illness.

Family & Couples' Therapeutic Play

Family or couples' therapy seem unapproachable or stallled out? Consider adding an element of play to improve communication and bonding.

-Parents & younger kids role play as criminal bears aiming to score big in a one-shot game of Honey Heist.

-Couples, friends, & older families can adventure in D&D settings or non-combat, rules-light gaming systems.

Depending on provider availability, clients may chose in-home or in-office setting.

In therapeutic table top roleplaying games (TTRPGs), clients engage in collaborative story telling, improve communication strategies, and increase comfort & creativity with novel problem-solving.

Dr. Scharrer integrates elements of Acceptance and Commitment, Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral, and Interpersonal therapy models into game encounters.
